Spanish Piano

Yoko Suzuki developed a keen interest in Spanish music for piano since becoming acquainted with the recordings and concert performances of Alicia de Larrocha, with whom she has worked regularly since 2001. The manner in which Suzuki has assimilated both the character of this music and the teachings of De Larrocha and Carmen Bravo de Mompou has made her an eminent performer among the new generation. With great technical confidence and a meticulous and highly refined expressiveness, she knows how to capture the universal essence of these piano masterpieces.
