Quantz: Konzerte für eine und zwei flöten

Outstanding on this recording is the fact that three of the four concertos recorded here are world premier recordings. As part of the goal of Columna Musica is to reclaim lost and unknown Catalan and Spanish repertory, we also try to promote forgotten composers of other cultures. Johan Joachim Quantz has been an outstanding flutist and composer in the central Europe background and flute is here the main character. The second goal of Columna Musica as in this case is to promote Catalan interpreters, here being Claudi Arimany and Josep Palau, a wonderful performance of elegant music, a pleasure to be discovered.
