Música Virtuosa, 5 - El Clarinete Mágico

Fifth volume of the collection Música Virtuosa. In this volume, Josep Fuster (clarinet) is accompanied by the pianist Francisco Hervás to perform works by the composer and conductor Juan B. Meseguer.

One of the most outstanding pieces is "El Clarinete Mágico" (2012), dedicated to Josep Fuster, a friend of the composer. Structured in a single movement, this piece is akin to a symphonic poem in its descriptive nature, although not in its form, since it is meant to “tell the story” of a “magical” clarinet which was able to play with prodigious accuracy any virtuosic melody, wrapping with its peculiar sound any passage with an amazing and exquisite interpretative subtlety.
