Mompou: Música callada

Albert Attenelle premiered Mompou's Variations on a Theme by Chopin in 1964 with a performance that greatly impressed the composer. This double-CD features a highly mature version of the piece, Suburbis and the outstanding Música callada (Silent Music), a milestone in Catalan piano music which has been acclaimed worldwide. Attenelle's performances are truly masterful.
