Iriarte: Intima intención

This CD presents works of the young composer and pianist Guillermo Iriarte, in a selection of pieces for solo piano. Performed by himself, the pieces are varied and the booklet clearly describes their meaning or orientations. Nueve estampas naïves is a series inspired on or referred to Michael Ende literature, the Nocturnos are works which keep its traditionally granted intimate meaning, The 5 Toccatas del termino medio refer to more complex and varied items: Mozart letters´, a game, a self-portrait or a challenging and extrapolated tribute to Escher turned into score? A lullaby and a delicious sonata complete the record, a collection that only too well gives evidence of the creativity and personal richness of the talented composer.
