This CD contains the Sonata Sur, written for piano and orchestra composed by O.Esplà. The sound of the original recording is quite precarious but it has been successfully reprocessed to offer the shining version offered by Alicia de Larrocha and the Orquesta Nacional de España conducted by Rafael Frühbeck of Burgos on 1965 in Madrid. The CD is a jewel of Spanish music and consists as well of the Esplà Spanish Sonata for piano and the Tres breves Danzas de España by J. Rodrigo.
