More info

The archive of the Cathedral of Barcelona holds two precious 15th-century manuscripts where versions of the Song of the Sibyl appear with their melodic notation, one in Latin and the other in Catalan. This fact is somewhat exceptional for, in other Western cathedrals where these chants were sung, what remains at most is the oldest Latin version. Only in the case of the Cathedral of Toledo we know of two versions of the Song of the Sibyl with their music, in Latin and in the vernacular, although the latter is now at the Spanish Institute in New York.
