In this second volume of Op. 34, featuring the last three trios in the collection, we can once again glimpse both the atmosphere of serene calm experienced by the composer in Arenas de San Pedro, with a privileged salary and the respect of his patron, and the splendid maturity, the prodigious inventiveness, the inexhaustible melodic inspiration, the surprising harmonic boldness and, above all, the good taste with which Boccherini weaved his art and communicated his conception of music.
