Ànima. Òpera Catalana

With this first volume of the new collection we have set about compiling an anthology of Catalan opera with recordings of works that form part of our national repertoire. In the present collection we offer a brief anthology, from the eighth century to the twenty-first, which is not solely representative of the importance of certain authors and their works, but also shows us a continuity that begins with Domènec Tarradellas? La Merope and concludes with Joan Guinjoan´s Gaudí. The main characters of this first volume are the young baritone Joan Martin-Royo and the Orchestra of Barcelona´s Opera (Liceu) conducted by Josep Vicent.
